Chaotic Brazilians leaves Fifa warning of the ‘worst’ World Cup 2014

With just 2 more weeks to go before the start of the World Cup, Brazil seems likely to miss deadlines for installing the essential IT facilities that will allow the event to be covered live around the globe, Fifa has warned.

Hundreds of Brazilian protesters fought running street battles with police in downtown Rio, leaving a cameraman seriously injured and raising fresh fears about World Cup safety.
Venting their fury at price rises on the city’s notoriously inefficient transport system, around 1,000 people took to the streets around Rio’s central train, bus and metro station where they were confronted by riot police who fired tear gas and flash bombs to disperse the demonstrators.
